This is part two of my list of things that I am blessed to have in my life! 4. I am blessed to have had the parents I had. My mother was the pillar of our family! She spent her life caring for my father, brother and me. She taught me to pray, she bound my wounds, she brought me to the library, she bound my bumps and bruises, she cooked clothed and made me do well in what ever I undertook! With all this she still found time to read me stories and put me to bed with a prayer and a kiss! My dad was the one people knew. He was a sculptor of great talent and well known. He taught me that if something was worth doing you must do it well. He taught me to always provide for my family and to labor as much and hard as that was necessary and as long as it took. He taught me an important thing about believing and being proud of what you are. He knew many famous and influential people. He was never in awe of them. He treated them as HIS equal and if he knew he was right, he would not bow to their opinion. This often time during my career got me in hot water. My two parents were shining STARS! 5. I am thankful for my friends and neighbors who have always been there to help. 6. I am thankful for the many doctors and their staffs for making my visits as easy as possible and taking care of my medical and emotional needs. U C Davis Medical Center has the most amazing nursing and physical and occupational therapists. They helped me regain so much after the huge setback in 2012. 7. A huge thanks to my Copiague and Facebook family! You give me so much joy reading about your lives, showing me your families and your children and grandchildren. I truly believe that I have had some positive impact on so many lives. I know this is what The Lord put me here to do! God bless all my families! Thats it for today. More to come.
