An insightful (and empowered) reply might be that only the unenlightened resort to any form of bullying--or continue to support contradictions to reasoning-reality. Other peoples misinformation and contradictive beliefs and philosophies need over-run our own thinking... Once we de-mystify and unravel erroneous reasoning to see the facts-to-fictions sense, we are no longer vulnerable to others manipulations because of our own confusion. That is the purpose of doing our own thinking--to make our knowledge our own through using our own thinking, and not just following the sound-good surface ideas of someone else.
