The current plan has this owner/developer on hold until the town reaches a population of 22,500. I suspect there will be a lot of pressure on council to be agreeable to an amendment as they battle their historically poor reputation with developers. I will be clear that our current OCP needs to be respected. I share the sadness of the thought of losing trails on private property I have always been free to enjoy, but am opposed to the amendment as the costs to taxpayers for this expansion is too great. (Infrastructure etc) and that is why there is growth management - not to mention the whole discussion of density and smarter/greener growth.
