This is progress, and is the future, and it is in Kankakee County. However, it shows how people in Kankakee are so resistant to change. I went to a county board meeting a month or so ago, and three people from Herscher were opposed to the wind farm, with objections like the vistas are now ruined, and people with epilepsy will be passing out, and they cant enjoy their back porches. The list went on, and on, and on and on. Most of it bogus, all of it showing fear of change. Things change, it is the only constant, and if the community does not change with the times, it will perish. Dont be afraid of change, embrace change, in fact, demand change. My hat is off to the County Board, who ignored the whining from nay sayers, and went forward with this project. It gives me hope for the county, and I pray this is the start of more change. We are not going back to the 50s and 60s; that day is gone forever. We must embrace change, and forge forward eagerly, and without reluctance, or hesitation.
