This is purely my opinion, nobody else needs to buy in and if you have a contrary opinion suit yourself. I personally would have preferred Amaechi for 2 reasons 1. he probably could draw some votes from SS/SE 2. He can stick it in GEJ very well...lol. Generally though without any sentiment Fashola would have been the best choice judging from his performance, infact i would have preferred Fashola for president but since he missed out ill rather he is in a more functional role like coordinating minister of the economy, petroleum or power. The choice of Osinbajo however is not a bad decision regardless of what people think. My reasons are: 1. He does have political experience as Attorney general of Lagos State for 8years and has been involved quietly in AC,ACN and APC legal affairs and merger. 2. He has reached the pinnacle of academic career (Professor), Legal (SAN) and an achieved entrepreneur at 55. 3. It doesnt matter to me that he is a pastor but im sure some will throw their vote at him for that singular reason. 4. The role of the VP is to chair committees and drive the economy usually from an intellectual position and not and hardly play any active politics. 5. The debate about the selection has only dominated social media and the elite most of whole hardly vote or influence vote, the real voters actually care about GEJ vs Buhari or PDP vs APC. 6. I know for a fact the campaign messaging will play a critical part in shaping perception and opinion so game on. 7. We have learnt from experience to put someone sound as VP just incase (God forbid) the main man kicks the bucket or decides to fly a plane or engage in other activities that could result to loss of life or getting him impeached. Osinbajo is the Fashola you never knew. Let the campaign begin
