This is really important: PLEASE take 1 minute to sign this petition. No one can survive on minimum wage as it is today. Whether you flip burgers, work at Walmart, or do the very challenging (and important) job of being a home care worker, minimum wage needs to change. A request for $15 is more than reasonable. The annual income for a person working 40 hours a week at minimum wage would be $15,080. Even doubling that income, living would still be difficult with rising gas prices and childcare costs. Not to mention trying to save for the future. Congress has only ever tried to pass legislation THREE times in the past THIRTY years. If minimum wage had kept up with inflation, people would be making $11-21 per hour (dependent on state). Lets ACTUALLY change this. We have the power.
