This is really my life. I worked at k - mart as a sales associate, my work attire consisted of skirts and the same blazer everyday, I was approached by a man that I had never seen before.... ever... he asked me if I wanted to work as an apparel bookkeeper upstairs in the office. I was shocked because I did take up bookkeeping classes in a business college, but he didnt know that... after only being there for a month, I was promoted.... I worked at the post office as a seasonal employee at a substation, I tried my best to stay out of the way but after the season was up the supervisor kept me there where I worked for approximately 3 years(dont ask me why I quit but I did, young with no clue).. I worked at an all white elementary school where I was a teachers assistant and because I had some college credits, I ended up with my own class teaching RSP (some of Yall know what that is) I worked at the Del Amo mall where they really didnt hire to many of us at the time. All this not in that order. Last I decided to go to beauty school and had so much fun, I didnt have a clue on what I was gonna do afterwards. On my last day of school I was called into the office by management and was offered a teaching position that I turned down but they was persistent so I went to state board got my license and taught for about 1 year. I have my own salon now and have for years but I said all that to say.... YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS PAYING ATTENTION TO YOU SO PLEASE ALWAYS BE PREPARED!!! And to say people saw in me what I didnt see in myself... greatness... If I saw what they saw in me then... I dont know where I would be.
