This is so freekin crazy!! Nursing friends, why would you discharge someone and not give them any meds?! When my mom went to pick prescriptions up, the pharmacy would not fill until the doctor filled out a questionnaire. When Mike asked for the meds that were at the nursing home due to the delay they said they destroyed everything! Oh, but they had one card with a couple warfarin on it. All pain meds were destroyed. Why would they do this? Medicare will not pay for prescriptions that were already filled. The facility should know this. Its crap! Anytime I have a transfer from a facility to assisted living they always come with bingo cards, narcotics too! Im so fed up with that place. State will be called. Dont send your family to Ridgemont. Youll spend every minute babysitting them! (The facility) also.. The house doc was asked if she filled out the required paperwork. She said, I did as much as I could in the time that was allotted. Im off at 5 pm. What?!! Dont you think my mom getting her meds is important to stay a few minutes and finish the damn paperwork?!
