This is so true. I remember one day I was at the humane society and this lady brought her dog in and he was so sweet but he had bitten her 3 year old. As sweet and calm as this dog was, I couldnt see it biting a kid. She said it had never done anything like that before... So instead of telling her kid to leave the dog alone, she let her kid annoy it until it felt uncomfortable or scared and didnt know how else to defend himself... Now that dog is know as aggressive to the humane society, so the chance of him not being adopted by a family and possibly losing his life is much higher. Im not saying its okay for a dog to bite a child, or anyone for that matter, but if you know a dog is not usually like that, and he only bit someone because that person was putting him in an uncomfortable position dont make that dog lose a family, a home, and possibly his life...
