This is so true. In todays society... in our media... dads are made out to look like the family idiot, the butt of the joke. I believe in seeing this message over and over again that the fathers in our country have been stripped of the respect and honor that they should be given in the home and their importance has been downplayed. Fathers, please know how very important you are to your children. Every action you take, every word you speak is being absorbed by your children and molding their identity. They need and are waiting for you to give them your approval and blessing. Some people seek that from their fathers their whole lives and never feel it... not because their fathers dont love them and arent proud of them, but because theyve never risked being vulnerable enough to tell them.
