This is so true. The persons around the abuser dont want to feel fooled that they liked this person, so the prefers to deny. AND, the abusers are charmers, big time. How would they otherwise get their grips around children or spouses? They are groomers. Can we stop thinking of abusers as ugly greasy looking half limping monsters!!! One forgiveness from the people around you are much harder to get when they have feel/been fooled. You can read the comments on the the page from other victims/survivors. Have an open mind and a heart, dare to talk about it. And, when someone comes to you telling the difficult information. Do not reject the person. First, give a hug, then listen, then get the person professional help.
