This is so true... When I was in the kitchen biz there were a lot of fairly well off people who owed us money all at the same time.(as was the usual case) Sigh...... None were paying up.I had a load of bills due by the end of the week... I called the customers in question and they one by one fobbed me off saying next week or the builder is paying the kitchen bill or we have our money in a fixed deposit til the end of the month.grrrr...bla bla bla.. I prayed that someone would come in and pay a bill or thered be a cheque in the mail.I opened the one envelope in the mail that day... Inside was a letter from an elderly Sunshine Coast couple,(pensioners) whod been in to discuss their new kitchen with me the previous week.Id sent out a plan etc..and hadnt heard back from them until opening the mail that day. The letter read... (something like this from memory) Dear Julie, Thank you so much for all your help planning and with the colour choices for the new kitchen .Were very excited as weve been saving for this for 5 years. Ive enclosed full payment of $ 5180. Kind Regards, Joan and Robert Smith I was amazed to see a cheque made out for the FULL amount (not just the deposit) and i actually recall saying aloud,laughing ..God..... I asked for payment from people who ALREADY had their kitchens. So this was a pretty incredible moment for me.... and one Ill never forget.All the bills got paid by the end of the week and the others finally paid their bills after a few weeks.
