This is sweet Sarah in her stroller (AKA - Sandy Waynes old stroller). She thinks she may like this thing that will allow her to sit and be carted around the yard! I cant wait to take her to town where she will be able to ride around in this stroller. Most of the time when I am going to town, I will be making a stop in stores where pups are not allowed, and she sure cant stay in the car. Maybe one day pretty soon Tommy will need to make a trip to Home Depot, and I can take her there for a shopping experience. This stroller has a place to connect her leash so she cant fall out or jump out, which is a very good option for our Sarah. She is such a sweetheart and so easy to fall in love with. She has won the hearts of all who have met her. My sweet Mama has really fallen for her, and Sarah acts as if she KNOWS this is her mawmaw! When Sarah was in the hospital locally, mama went with me to see about her and we ended up bringing her home the same day. When we got back into the hospital area, little Sarah was laying in bed with a big IV in her right leg and it had real stretchy purple gauze covering the IV so she couldnt get it out. She looked so pitiful laying there with those tubes in her, so I reached in to pick her up and she began crying and licking me all over. Mama was about to cry as she was babying Sarah, and Sarah began to hold he foot up as if she was showing mama the mean old bandage on her leg. Mama was kissing her bandage and saying I am so sorry darlin, Mawmaw will make it better. This went on until we got her calmed down and had to leave her with the staff to prepare her for release, then we took her to Auburn for the rest of the treatment. Since that day, each time Sarah sees mama she runs to her feet, sits down and hold her foot up in the air. The funny thing is, Sarah forgets which foot to hold up and sometimes it is the right and sometimes its the left. Naturally, Mawmaw makes a big deal over it saying, Mawmaw sees your little foot baby as she holds Sarahs paw for a bit. Is this a spoiled little baby? I dont think so! When the Fish and Game Officer was here last week, he saw our calendar which has Sandy Wayne sitting on the stroller in the garden department at Home Depot. He asked about the picture and we told him that Sandy Wayne liked to go to Home Depot shopping and the staff at the Palatka Florida Home Depot (shout out to our HD friends) loved visiting with her. He laughed and said, Lordy, I can just imagine the calls I would get if you showed up at the local Home Depots with a squirrel in the stroller. I guess it would be a bit strange to some folks, especially in the deep south during hunting season! Many of you have seen the post from earlier today about the kitty we brought home today. We have someone REALLY interested in adopting him, but she lives in Washington State. I have asked her to check on transport, as she has dealt with them before, and if she can arrange this we will get her up there. If she can get the transport I have agreed to have him vetted. Several of you offered to help with his vet costs if we could find him a home, and I will gladly take you up on the offer. If you would like to help with his costs, you can deposit funds into our Paypal account: bamajo60@outlook. This money goes into an account that is only used for animal care, so IF we get more than needed for this kitty, it will remain in the animal fund for later uses. If this doesnt work out for the lady in Wa., this little boy will still be available for adoption, or his original owner said she would take him back as he was originally a barn cat. His original owner found him on the side of the road as a kitten and took him home. They live on farmland and this kitty was living in the barn. The owner has been battling with cancer, and many of you may remember her - Tessa. Many prayers were sent for our sweet Tessa. Her cat disappeared and it has been so long ago she felt he was dead. She saw our post earlier today and feels this is her cat. Tessa said if we could find an indoor home for him she would be pleased to let someone else adopt him as she will not be able to keep him inside. By the way, Tessa is doing very well now and still working with her doctors on her medical care as she KICKS CANCERS BUTT. We hope your week has started out well and you are doing your part to make the rest of your week wonderful as well. Remember to Pay it Forward.
