This is the 12th Anniversary of 9/11 a day that should never be forgotten. The horror of this day is still very vivid in my memories and I remember everything I was doing that day. At the time my office was right across the Houston International Airport. With the FAA grounding all flights that morning the lack of flights landing and taking off made the silence deafening!! Dealing with a member of my staff who believed her father was in one of the towers, which was later verified that was not the case to multiple Federal Regulatory Agency contacting us to verify information made for an emotionally exhausting day. Our freedom should never be taken for granted and we should be very thankful for what we have and realize there are others around the world who would love to take it all away from us which the events of 9/11 clearly illustrate.
