This is the 73 Beetle I recently acquired. While tinkering around with it today, i noticed that one of the previous owners hit upon a unique solution to the exposed vents: he simply blocked them off with an old license plate: see photos. I was happy to see this; IMO, it adds to the vehicles charm. If you dont understand that, then youre probably not a Bug person. That doesnt make you evil, of course. But it doesnt help, either.
