This is the ABSOLUTE BEST Obituary I have ever Seen & its all in Honor of my Uncle JC! It describes his personality perfectly and really shows you who he really was! R.I.P. Uncle JC well see you in heaven with a bottle of Jack! In Memory of James R. Clements Jr. JC October 15, 1957 - May 15, 2014 On May 15, 2014 Command Master Chief Retired, JC (James) Clements, was relieved from his final watch, to go on to a place where there is no need for a watch stander. During his short time with us JC had many accomplishments, friends and loves. He was the kind of man that once you met him your life would be changed forever. JC was born October 15, 1957 and would live a life so rich that we could only hope to have half his journeys. Like many of us JC had his ups and downs, but his ups brought him to places many only dream of. JC is preceded in death by his father James R. Clements and survived by his wife Judy Clements, his mother Elizabeth Moats, Step-father Laurence Moats, his Brother Dennis Clements (Martha), his brother Mitchell Clements (Pam), his sister Ann Clements Fitzgerald and many nieces and nephews. In 1975 JC joined the Marine Corps where he honorably served his country for 4 years. In 1981 he joined the United States Navy where he would spend the next 3 decades traveling, serving and leading in the worlds finest navy. His military career took him around the world and would open doors, mainly it opened bar doors and pub doors but it opened doors. And behind every door is a story, some can be told and some are going to the grave. JC loved many things. Traveling, Jack Daniels, his family, his country, his wife and of course his bikes. JC is leaving behind Ghost, Travler, Destiny, Jack, Fats, Spook, Casper, Verd, Pony, Stroller, Arvin and Sailor. These motorcycles, van, RV and truck have spent many miles traveling places with JC. They have seen countless roads and mile markers with JC steering the way. JCs proudest life accomplishment spanned over the course of a year when in April, 1999 while serving his country in La Maddalena, Italy he was selected for Master Chief within a year he was selected for Command Master Chief. To celebrate- we can be sure he was surrounded by friends. This ranking is distinguished and many work towards it their entire careers to never reach it. JC made one of the best CMCs the navy has seen, leaving La Mad to lead successfully a naval hospital and then other duty commands before leaving the navy with a distinguished career. The road to this achievement was filled with hard work, numerous medals and awards. JC was a proud member of the Iron Butt Association. He put more miles on motorcycles then his favorite chaps would allow. He was also a member of the NRA, AMVETS, American Legion, Fleet Reserve, VFW and US Army Navy Union. Command Master Chief Retired JC (James) Clements the watch stands relieved. Relieved by those you have trained, guided, and lead. Shipmate you stand relieved, we have the watch.
