This is the DOG & CAT abandoned by the previous tenants of the house we just moved into. We didnt force the issue of taking them when they told us if they were forced to take her with them,,,,They would just take her out to a remote place and put a bullet in her head!!!! (what JACK HOLES) I have never seen a dog more covered with ticks in my life! They were everywhere! Even on top of each other! We used Adams topical spray, Frontline Plus, then Seven Dust and were still picking them off by hand!! Michael C Johnson has named her SAMMIE. She looks to be a German Shepherd/Lab mix. Shes smart, young, energetic and very sweet. Really wants her own PERSON and to be a HOUSE DOG. She gets along well with all the other dogs, but, can be a bit rough with the pups at times. She was absolutely skin and bones when we first moved in. She is hysterical now as she starts to bark at the door about 10 minutes before breakfast and dinner each meal! (9 am/9 pm) We are going to be looking for a home for her. I do need to get her vaccinations and have her spayed, unless someone is willing to take her and have it done. I have several rescues I am caring for and a diabetic dog who needs a spay, a cat who needs a dental and still need to get the ticks out of the 1/2 acre! I have no problem placing her no altered, I just need to know its taken care of asap. The next is the CAT they abandoned locked in the kitchen cabinets. PURRS constantly! Loves people, but, does not like dogs or most other cats....Very selective kitty. IF ANYONE is interested, let me know.
