This is the I am tolerating you right now look.........I get that a lot! Love this man! It has been almost a year since I began a “leap of Faith” journey by coming back to Moberly (from working in COMO) to start yet another business…. I just wanted to take a few minutes to rant about my husband. Those of you closest to us know that we are nearly polar opposites in many ways. He has that teeny tiny Grinch heart, and mine, well……let’s just say it’s a bit soft. I cry at movies and he laughs at me while I am crying. You’ve heard the big A$$ TV story that nearly caused a divorce. You know that he makes me mad as hell on some days, and yet, is the one that I turn to for a sounding board and to discuss the really important things with, like “do we have crackers”??? He wasnt exactly brimming with excitement with my plans to open A Stroke of Magic, and in fact, (many of you have heard this story too) thought the idea was “the stupidest thing I have ever heard of”. Yet, he helped us move furniture in the freezing cold, let me use his credit card to buy canvas and hardly complained about the late nights and sandwich suppers. He has continued to be skeptical, but grunts a response to my little anecdotes that have happened along the way. There is nothing like the love you feel for your husband when you see how crazy he is about your first grandchild. I cannot explain it. I am so proud of him, his accomplishments in life, our children and I love our life! He gives of his time freely to help kids in 4-H and our nieces and nephew, and yet worries that I volunteer too much! (Maybe because of the sandwich that is sure to follow). My Mikey is the most frustrating, hard headed, stubborn man I know, but he backs me 100% (or at least does not say no) in whatever crazy thing I am on to this week. I love him with all my heart and am so thankful that the stars brought us together thirty something years ago. I pray every day that I get to spend another 50 years hearing Hello Sweetness when I dial his phone......Thank you for loving me My Prince.
