This is the POS that dumped his dog out of the car! Man caught on camera trying to dump dog twice tries to explain Molly Hendrickson, Wayne Harrison 8:22 PM, May 27, 2014 Daniel Sohn, a man accused of trying to dump his dog at a Denver shelter and driving away, says he has an explanation why in an exclusive interview with 7NEWS. KMGH HIDE CAPTION DENVER - A photo of a man trying to ditch his dog -- not once, but twice -- is raising serious questions. A witness snapped the photo after the man tried to leave his dog at the Denver Animal Shelter twice in the same day. 23ABC affiliate 7NEWS in Denver spoke exclusively with the owner of the dog, Daniel Sohn, on Tuesday. Yes that is my car and my dog, Sohn said. I actually dropped him off and he followed me because we have a bit of a bond. He said he took his dog, named Bronson, to the shelter to surrender him. Well I didnt ditch him. I actually dropped my dog off at the shelter where I did pick him up at. I actually gave my dog a choice if he wanted to be with me or possibly find an owner he might feel better with, Sohn said. 7NEWS learned Sohn tried to drop the dog off at the animal shelter but balked when he was asked to fill out paperwork to leave the dog. He then ran out the door of the lobby with his dog in pursuit. Witnesses said Sohn jumped in his car and took off, at one point hitting the dog before picking him up again and eventually taking him back to the shelter a second time before leaving without filling out the paperwork. I didnt accidentally hit him, he said. He jumped in front of my car but I felt he was triggered to do so as if like he was a mechanism of the surrounding people. Witnesses said the second time Sohn ran out the front door, the dog followed him and was last seen chasing Sohns car down the street. Now, animal control and Denver code enforcement is investigating and Sohn has a court date. Sohn says he eventually drove to Los Angeles where Bronson jumped out of his car at a gas station in Beverly Hills. Is he still alive? I’m sure he is, Sohn told 7NEWS reporter Molly Hendrickson.
