This is the beautiful garderobe of the 14th century Kings Hall - TopicsExpress

This is the beautiful garderobe of the 14th century Kings Hall which was at that time a Royal Hunting Lodge attached to Rothwell Castle and kept solely for the approved use of the King. Today it is Stank Old Hall, part of the Stank Hall Farm complex in Beeston, South Leeds, owned by Leeds City Council and for nearly 20 years nailed up and derelict after the removal of the council tenants from its previous use as social housing. The 16th century New Hall has been arsoned since this photo and the 15th century barn last received major renovation work in the 1980s. The Facebook group for Friends of Stank Hall can give further information of the people who are trying to save it today and bring the site back to life with a local community use, including a medieval themed Incredible Edible garden providing free food to those in need and frequent archaeology walks and small finds projects.
