This is the communication that was sent out in January to everyone who had previously indicated that they were planning/hoping to come to the MCC Bolivia Reunion. BOLIVIA MCC REUNION July 4 – 6, 2014 Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp Divide, Colorado rmmc.org Greetings! 2014 is upon us and the Bolivia MCC reunion is set for this summer in Colorado! We have nearly 100 people that have indicated that they are attending or are likely to be coming. We anticipate being full to capacity and anticipate a great weekend of fun and fellowship. Check- in will be Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm, July 4, 2014, and check-out will be Sunday afternoon, July 6, 2014. Most of you have indicated a lodging preference and we will do our best to honor your requests. In order to confirm your plans to attend and to honor our contract with Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp, we are asking you to send a $25 per person deposit by April 1 (see mailing info below). This will be deducted from your total cost at the retreat. Please include the names of each person coming. Once we have deposits, we will share a list of everyone planning to attend. If, for whatever reason, you don’t want your name included on the list, let us know. We also want to know from you what you would like to see happen as part of our time together. A few people have offered, and please let us know if you are interested in helping out with planning or leading some of the ideas or activities. We anticipate a general program as follows: • Friday night after supper: Welcome and mixer activities • Saturday morning: Formal gathering of sharing, learning, singing, and photo taking. • Saturday afternoon: Enjoying the Rocky Mountains – hiking, relaxing by the pond, informal visiting, or perhaps an organized game of softball, volleyball, or golf Frisbee. • Saturday evening: Formal gathering of sharing, singing, perhaps talents. • Sunday morning: Worship and farewell We desire to learn about the most recent news of Bolivia and MCCs work. We have contacted both the MCC US and MCC Canada offices in search of someone that could possibly come and share with us. In the restructuring of MCC, the Bolivia program reports to the MCC Canada office. At this point there does not seem to be a possibility of current MCC personnel coming to share with us, but we will still work on getting information. Perhaps some of you have thoughts or are keeping up with current Bolivia affairs and would be willing to share info. We look forward to hearing from you! Your ideas can be e-mailed to us.
