This is the councils argument for the road. Its not an easy read but it seems the assumption is that this new road will reduce traffic at the key study areas. I cant help thinking this is all a bit presumptuous and indeed flawed. Mainly due to the fact that according to Councils own data our main areas of employment is town based. What employment we do have is mainly in the town centre and industrial areas. I cant think of anything significant outside of areas such as Hardwick/ North Lynn can you. So therefore to go to this imaginary work they will go according to the report the long way around, Edward Benefer Way. NO people will take the shortest and quickest route, which would be down Columbia Way and Loke Road. Simple question what route would you take? How can an additional 770 houses reduce traffic congestion? online.west-norfolk.gov.uk/online-applications/files/AAA3A800973CCE7495EFC22E1FB7E7FF/pdf/14_01562_FM-TRANSPORT_ASSESSMENT_APPENDIX_A-3374424.pdf
