This is the danger of picking out deeply founded, wholistic spiritual-ethical (eastern religious) practices into secularism. Mindfulness as a tool on the battlefield.. typical.. related to the hypocritical part of the Secret movie and inauthentic alternative stuff - attract wealth, big houses and to be blunt: strengthen your ego. Money and houses are not wrong in an of themselves, it is the attachment, the psychological clinging to it for the sake of fake fulfillment that is the problem. Learning the ancient, mystic powers and knowledge for the sake of violence and inauthentic means is exactly what the Nazis did, or tried/wanted to do. Likewise you could start doing all these things to enhance your professional career and ambitions. But more importantly it will break down your addiction and ego surrounding your professional career and ambitions.. (if you then feel like doing it it will enhance it in a liberated way.) My own musical ambitions broke down in my own process, but I decided to keep doing it and it is more fun than ever. If I broke all my fingers tomorrow my inner bliss would still remain.
