This is the first exhibition of one of the most influentials fashion photographers in the world. 122 Photographs in display, selected by Testino himself, reflect the vast diversity of his work and talent. MARIO TESTINO: IN YOUR FACE is an intimate approach to the work and oeuvre of the famous peruvian photographer. It includes his more iconic and daring pictures and shows all the different aspects of his work: from fashion photography to advertising and autobiographical shots. Elegance, beauty, style, irreverence and contradictions are the main themes. The exhibition combines his early works in Vogue and Vanity Fair magazines and fashion houses like Gucci and Versace, with intimate and personal portraits. The constant interaction between the mass media with glamour and cultural icons like Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen, Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt and David Beckham, among others. “Im thrilled to share my work in this fascinating and beautiful country where I always have found inspiration in its tradition, elegance, history and energy, said Mario Testino. MARIO TESTINO: IN YOUR FACE opened for the first time in October 2012 in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where more than 150.000 people saw his work. Mario Testino is one of the most prolific fashion and portrait photographers in the world. He was born in Lima, Perú, and lives in London since 1976. His work appears often in fashion, design and lifestyle magazines around the globe and his work in fashion campaigns has contributed to the world success of brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Gucci, Chanel, Dior and Lancôme, among many others. After living abroad for more than 35 years, in 2012 he founded in Lima MATE, a cultural and arts center where his work is in permanent exhibition and where he organizes all kind of cultural activities and shows.
