This is the kind of tipsheet members of Scott Free Florida receive on a regular basis. Sign up here to get the facts. Rick Scott isnt just shady. He goes out of his way to hide the truth from Floridians. The Miami Herald editorial board called it an assault on open government. They begin: Among Floridas recent governors, none has a worse record on transparency and open government than incumbent Rick Scott. Now Mr. Scott is apparently trying to render Floridas public records law effectively meaningless by adopting a policy that makes it next to impossible to obtain access to public communications. Read the complete editorial -- then pass it along with to your friends. Carl Hiaasen took it one step further. He called Rick Scott our own man of mystery, Austin Powers without the hair mop and dance moves. No Florida governor has ever operated with such jet-setting stealth, concealing so many details of his daily travels and contacts. Read the whole article, then share our man of mystery with your friends. This matters. If the public doesnt know what Scotts government is up to, then he can get away with corrupt, unethical, or even illegal behavior. We need to keep the pressure on him to explain whats going on -- and make sure Floridians know that hes trying to keep the wool over our eyes. By spreading the word, youre helping hold him accountable. Thanks, Scott Free Florida Political advertisement paid for and approved by Charlie Crist, Democrat, for Governor.
