This is the night report from Mayberry by the sea........the walk down the street to the Obstinate Daughter with my friends was a walk into a cool velvet night studded with stars with a beautiful symphony of crickets to provide the music and the light show was the light of the lighthouse sweeping overhead and then far out onto the ocean horizon............I told them that I saw a guy tripping on something on TV a couple of days ago....he was on the Kathy Lee and Hoda show and the sound was turned down....his face looked very animated like perhaps he was seeing fairies fly around his face......almost like someone safety pinned his eyelids open onto his forehead.....I mean...this guy looked wired....and had this weird grin...I said to myself...he looks like the guy who took the purple acid instead of the yellow ...and now he is tripping...I play a cruel trick in my mind to this man tripping on acid........if I was in a room with him...I would take a tennis ball and bounce it across the room where it would roll.....then I would say to Joel as he was tripping........grab on to anything you can....the floor is tilting again...grab onto a chair so you wont fall off...and then sit and watch him...........but I turn the sound up instead....and it a guy named Joel Osteen and he is some kind of pastor...or evangelist....he is pushing his new book..YOU CAN...YOU WILL......and talks about the key to being happy ......and he said it all boils down to living your own life.....and I am like......no duh!....no shit Sherlock!......he said it using God in every sentence as if they were spoken to him directly from God and then through his very own lips he is THEE vessel that delivers this powerful message from God....so Im like......OK...thats noble.....he doesnt take a salary from his church...how generous of him..........so Im thinking he is speaking for God and that must be amazing...and for a nominal fee of $16.95...you too can hear this powerful message.... about a man ....who once said in Matthew 19:23.....when Jesus said unto his disiples.....That hardly shall a rich man enter heaven...maybe Jesus was talking about someone else........I checked into his web page and got bombarded by one ad after the other selling something.....and still dont know what he and his ministeries are about........but I do know he lives in a $10,000,000 mansion and is worth about 43 million dollars......I wonder what Jesus thinks about that...how he uses his name to sell products.....and then profits of his name.......I am not against wealth gain its how you do it that makes the difference...............but im not going to think about it anymore......Joel Osteen is tripping all the way to the bank................but right now there is a football game on...Im resting my fat after a fun meal with friends.......its...MINN v GB........I think the Minnissota Vikings may need some more practice because the Brits are stomping all over them.......The Great Brittan Packers are up 42 to 0........those....... chaps...... from England........... KICK ASS!!!!...Long live the Queen...
