This is the night report from Mayberry by the sea....where you get the good news......everything was good today in Mayberry by the sea......talks of the invasion were in the ears and on the minds of many of the islanders.......the peaceful solitary days of winter on the beach were over and the waves of oiled up tourist became show up in droves........thats not great news but the good news is that the songbirds sang all day...the sun shined...the crickets buzzed melodically.....and I just completed my spring nesting to hibernate in the studio away from the circus and get back to work on many projects........but first........The Search for Odessa Small is over........Incident at The Whole Foods........first of all I have to say the I was getting withdraw symptoms...I realized I had not been on Facebook for over 24 hours.......why....because I was in quite a tear her at The Chateau DeBris.......AKA...The Mickey Williams Studio...or shall I say...the new and improved Mickey Williams Studio.....this studio has been transformed into combat mode......I tore down this entire studio...a redesigned it and kicked it into gear.....this studio has never been more efficient.....never had more work space.......never more storage space....never more open and airy...my easels are now around 20 feet long each....with two other spaces that can be converted into work space in 5 minutes...I fixed everything in this studio...the kitchen is redesigned...the sleep nook aka The Moon Room....and I turned every outside inner wall into work space.......thus giving more space within this working perimeter for lounging.........I worked around the clock on this.....and finally finished and let me tell you this...my body is a festival of pain......my back hurts...my legs dont want to work anymore....refusing to get up out of this chair......a spike is going through my right buttocks cheek.....my eyes are fuzzy and my head is dazed and confused...Jack Kerouac once said that he nothing to offer other than is own confusion....I can so relate......it was back breaking work but I can say I finally got it done......took 24 hours to do it.....sleeping little....and it feels great......I am able and ready to painting in up to 8 work stations...and that is good news............Ok.....so I have this kind of day yesterday where everything just clicked into place for me including the rear side mirror I tore of yesterday....just clicked into place....thats good news.....then I go the Comcast and see that there is a line...so I go next door into Whole Foods.....I see my niece and her friends working the registers there.....they simile and wave.....good news....I go over to the pizza counter and ask if the guy would put some mushrooms on a pepperoni pizza...he sais I got something better....and pulled one out of the brick oven.....good news if you ask me.......and then I look to my left and say.......that woman next to me looks like Odessa Smalls......the nice girl that sat behind me in homeroom in Wando High School...I have literally asked this question to about 10 women before.....are you Odessa Smalls?.....always the answer was no.....so I ask.......Are you Odessa Smalls?....she turns to me and smile and I knew it was here.....she said yes I am....I said....I have not seen you in over 30 years but its me....Mickey Williams....honey we were like two sistas.........it was such a nice reunion....and that is good news...so I run over to the Comcast and the line is gone...good news.......and I run to the counter and the girl behind it looks at me funny....im out of breath from running and say to her.......you know that woman I ask it you were her.....she says with a grim yes...did you see her...I said yes....yes finally I saw her next door...it took over 34 years to see my old friend from home room...and thats good news.......from Mayberry by the sea......where the new Mickey Williams studio is no a mean art making machine now...and small town America at its best...
