This is the sample drawn tonite from my experimental Kelulut. Ive been feeding my bees with encapsulated stevia nectar I created in the USA prior to coming to Malaysia. I needed to do the studies here, as I selected the stingless bee (Melipona) as the targeted species because it produces the highest concentrations of polysaccharides from plant sugars. And I wanted to see if the melipona process the stevia differently than it does other plant sugars. I believe (theory is) that feeding my bees the encapsulated stevia will make them healthier and more disease-resistant, a function of processing the different sweeteners, differently (note I use the term, sweeteners). Only HPGLC will tell, that and gut studies of the melipona. I took these selfies a few minutes ago...showing Batch #1 from my hive (for Historical purposes). Vids will be posted shortly. YAY Me!
