All states should have laws like Texas where a man can defend his family against low life such as this. I had a girlfriend when I was 17. But ... I went on active duty in the Marine Corps three days after my 17th birthday. I went to Boot Camp for a little over three months and came home on recruit leave. Then I went to AIT and after that I came home on leave before proceeding to my next duty station. So twice while I was 17 I was home on leave as a trained Marine. I wouldnt even have considered sneaking into my girlfriends bedroom at 2 AM-ish. Why? Because I knew that if her Dad didnt kiII me her mother or one of her brothers would. I knew that if I did that I would be in the wrong and bad things can happen to you when youre in the wrong. The simple solution is to not to be in the wrong and put myself in a position where bad things would happen to me. So Im alive today and the boy in this story isnt. Apparently he never figured out how to avoid Darwinizing himself. Obviously the kid wasnt the Stud he Thought He Was. If he was, the daughter might have told the truth right away. Anyone seen Trayvons mother? Al or Jesse? If I catch my boy in some tramps room, he better hope her dad shoots him before I do. You violate my house, you violate my daughter, you get shot! Case closed. I guess the Federal goverment needs to put that warning label on the condoms they hand out to these teenagers at school. This du mb kid basically committed suicide-by-father. I find it interesting that so many people on here are defending the boy. The kid knew what he was doing was wrong, otherwise he wouldnt have waited until the middle of the night to go in. He would also have let the parents, i.e. the owners, of the house know he was there. Then, of course, is the fact that once he was caught he failed to follow the instructions of the home owner. Good shooting, as far as Im concerned, and something I would do in a heartbeat if I caught a stranger in my home, day or night. The kid was lucky Dad gave him a chance to survive at all with the Dont Move order. This guy was bound to get snuffed sooner or later, people who crawl through windows at night are generally on the lower end of the IQ scale and the food chain. At least they have a good story to tell future boyfriends. I dont think Dad will have too much trouble keeping them in line.
