This is the sweetest video. Meet Emily, the first (and only) K-9 graduate of our Eat Breathe Thrive program. Emily is a service dog for one of my dearest students Brian Caldirola, and after a lifetime of serving others she needs some help herself. Emily was stricken with bone cancer a few months ago. Her hind leg was amputated, and while the prognosis is good (vet says she has many many years ahead of her), she still needs chemotherapy. Emily is a big ol great dane - so she actually needs a human sized dose!! - and the medical costs have been staggering. Emily has been so important in Brians life (and in our organization).
