This is the time of year when volunteers report the number of hours they have donated to the Refuge. Its always impressive and humbling to see these numbers. Volunteers help us accomplish work in a myriad of ways - from hanging signs, to staffing visitor centers, habitat management projects, mowing, and cleaning up the river. Thanks to all Refuge volunteers! Thanks, also, to those who help the Refuge in secret by picking up trash, grabbing a piece of stray fishing line, or mentoring others in an outdoor skill.
