This is the true reason for the 2nd amendment. Those who call for disarming the public would be well served to read a history book. Or even a current events paper. No matter how perfect your government may be it is only one generation away from full decay. Ask the Germans. Ask the Russians. Ask the Italians. This is a cold fact of life.
