This is well worth watching because it shows the contrast in attitudes towards the Vietnam War between Australians and Americans. Whereas the Americans have engaged in 4 decades of self pity, nervous breakdowns, drug addictions, wankfests and all manner of social problems and crimes being excused because hes a Vietnam veteran - the Australians were far more laid back and unfazed by it all. Two fellows leave their Melbourne pub to go to Vietnam - see combat, experience near death experiences, see friends killed in front of them, shoot a few villagers ;) , get up to a few hijinks .....and then return home. The film ends showing them sipping a beer back at the pub and viewing the previous years wartime experiences quite nonchalantly.
