This is what I wrote last week, Hate in its worst form has been given free reign in the CAR. The danger here is it could spread and cut right through Africa, right from the deserts of Mali, Niger, through the Sahel of Northern Nigeria, CAR, crossing Sudans Nile through the border of the two Sudans (where it would only need the slightest of intent to restart war along these ethnic-religious lines), into Northern Kenya right to the coast of Somalia. How many people will die if this religious and ethnic violence takes over, is that when some idiots in the AU and UN will begin to think like people who actually care? Far fetched that it will spiral into such violence but a possibilty nontheless that I hope doesnt happen. Africa stop the violence! Today I think it is clear that the worlds failure and I clearly point at the absolutely uselss AU and its technocratic approach (though efforts of some African nations such as Rwanda, Burundi and Cameroon that sent troops to the CAR must be commended). The UN too is guilty of doing too little too late because we have well and truelly reached the tipping point or the point of no return. The trauma the CAR muslim population have experienced will haunt them for the rest of their lives and that negative energy can easily be turned to revenge that will see this conflict expand into a regional war. Its happening in Northern Nigeria and Cameroon, its happening in the Sudanese state of Abyei, its happening in Northern Kenya in Turkana, and we all know its there in Somalia. I hate to sound like a defeatest but the writting is clearly on the wall.
