This is what we are all about. This is where the rubber meets the road as the saying goes. Our mission is to reduce LODDs, among firefighters, as they pertain to cardiac events, or any other medical event. We do that by putting out free workouts geared towards the job of being a firefighter. We also do this by giving out packages of fitness equipment to departments that both need it and have shown a commitment to implement and maintain a strong fitness program. With that being said, our application process for our Strength is Our Foundation fitness equipment grant is officially open. Click on the link below, then click on the red dates January 5-January 14, 2015 to open the application. You have until 8pm central time, January 14, 2015 to email us a fully completed application. Please note that your department/city must be fully agreeable to our waiver to receive this equipment. If they are not, the equipment will be awarded to the runner-up candidate, so long as they are fully agreeable to the waiver. Remember, all departments, within the United States are eligible. Volunteer, combination and career departments. Individual stations from larger departments may also submit an application to receive this equipment for their station. Also remember the only promise we make to you, if you do not submit a fully completed application, we promise, you will not win the grant. Good luck to all that apply.
