This is what we are fighting for!!! To GIVE people more time, to let people enjoy ALL that life has to offer...we are fighting for life! Today we celebrate the life of a brave warrior. On August 10th, 2013, Christine hung up her boxing gloves and slipped on her wings, and a Hero became an Angel. Her daughter, Crystal, tells us about this photo: This was the best day of my entire life. Here is my mother pictured about 2 months before she passed away on 8/10/13. She was incredibly sick most of that year but begged the doctors to keep her alive so she could meet my daughter, her first grandchild. She had many fight like a girl apparel and did that no doubt. My mom taught people to fight for what mattered to them most. Family, Time, Love and Jesus. It is an honor to have such an angel watching over my family and all other pink warrior women! Thank you to every mom or grandma that fights this fight! Keep going with a big smile on your face! I know it is hard and some days you just want to quit but it is worth it in the end! We are so proud to have had Christine as a member of the Fight Like a Girl Club. P.S. Remember that trading gloves for wings doesnt mean the cancer warrior lost the battle. It means that she/he moved up in rank for a job well done.
