This is why Africa owes a lot to the likes of Mandela,Mogae,Chissano,Rupiya Banda , Koffour ,Chiluba ,Mwinyi,Mkapa and Muluzi. These are men who went quietly and with dignity.They live happily and with the hindsight of retirement regret having run for second terms.For life is that good out there,away from politics. The lessons from Africa s checkered past must surely be learnt. In the context of the current Zimbabwean crises ,a return to values and vision is important. What is the Zimbabwe we want ,and how do we built it. This must be the dominant discourse and not the intoxication with discourses of diverted projects and agendas. How inclusive is that agenda,how national is it,and is it owned by the Wananchi?
