This is why Andrew Luck will break Peyton Mannings single-season - TopicsExpress

This is why Andrew Luck will break Peyton Mannings single-season passing yards record: Over the first 9 games, Luck has thrown an average of 342.78 yards per game. IF he meets that average over the final 7 games of the season, he will end up with 5,484 yards - besting Mannings 2013 mark by 7 yards. However, looking at the schedule through the end of the season, the Colts play defenses ranked near the top - Washington, the middle - New England, Tennessee, Dallas, and the bottom - Cleveland, Houston, Jacksonville in pass defense. On the season, Luck averages +84 on non-divisional opponents passing marks. In the AFC South, hes +118. (Luck was +152 vs. Tennessee - statistically, the best pass defense the team has faced this season.) Adding Lucks averages to the YPG averages of the opponents still on the schedule, Luck is on pace to break Mannings record by 21 yards. My guess is he will end up breaking the record by somewhere between 7 and 14 yards.
