This is why I persist. Because it is worth it. From someone I spent a couple of days with two weeks ago. Im posting with an update of where I am with my horses training. Two weeks on and I have a totally different horse. I am amazed but not suprised. This for me was the missing link that I had been searching for. Yesterday I got on bareback with no tension or anxiety from either of us. Tonight I hopped on again TWICE in different places out around the yard and she parked herself brilliantly right by various and unfamiliar mounting blocks. I could only ever imagine doing this given the her reactiveness and hyper alertness. I had a little walk around the yard too whilst other horses were coming and going. She was as cool as a cucumber. To add to this I now have a horse that is in the room with me eager to learn and play in a relaxed and focussed manner. We have a series of vocal cues for stopping, waiting, forwards, backwards, lateral moves and she has today learnt her left bend from her right. Shes a bright cookie!!!!!! — feeling wonderful.
