This is why it makes no sense trying to convince other people to have some compassion with our people because they could care less about the residual affects of Jim Crow and dont even try to communicate the residual affects of Africans that were enslaved in the United States. This is an article that literally shows the affects of Jim Crow on the generation that still is alive and have endured being denied the right to vote and the other trappings that go along with white supremacy, because one must understand that white supremacy go hand in hand with Jim Crow. So the solution? Teach our children the history of their peoples experiences in this country, work with our elders who may not even realize that some of their antiquated thinking is a direct result of the Jim Crow era they experienced and all in all, have the patience to bring all of our people up to speed. Stop wasting time trying to convince others that are convinced that all of these things happened as a result of our people not wanting to evolve, not wanting to participate equally in society. It is due to a system of white supremacy cut and dry. This is why there is such an effort to dummy down society, to minimize education, to revise history, to make it seem as if we were more culpable in our own demise than to blame this system that has been in place since Africans were brought to the United States. So there you have it, the reason why there is such a fight to keep segments of the population from voting. This is the reason you hear the illogical rationale that more people voted in the last election than needed to. There is no intentions in this system granting any equilibrium to everyone.
