This is why you WAIT for ALL the evidence to come in BEFORE you make a judgment. Police officers risk their lives every day and sometimes they do get it wrong, but 99%, or greater, of the time they get it right. They risk their lives every time they put on a uniform so that we can live in a more secure world. I think we need to educate everyone on the job of police officers and how a person should respond if confronted by an officer. As David Clark, an African American officer put it - you comply now and file a grievance later. Ive heard more times than I can count that officers need to receive training, but Ive only heard a couple of times communities and families need to educate themselves on the job of an officer and how you can help prevent these tragedies. I think if both sides put themselves in the others shoes, it would go a long way to solving this problem.
