This is why you want to discourage those "cute little deer" from walking through your backyard! Take a close look at the picture. And yes, the article refers to areas in the north east but in the South, we have the more aggressive Lone Star Tick AND the deer tick to contend with and the Lyme disease bacteria has been found in both. (recent study by Dr Kerry Clark of the U of N FL) Please protect yourselves and your children!
