This journalist is Hennadiy Balashov from Kyiv. He went to see the anti-Maidan demonstration, at first pretending to be from a Moscow TV channel. This way he managed to get the people to speak to him. To cut a long story short - the protesters here were all from the Crimea, were paid approximately 200 hryvni (€20) to stand and yell, which they did. He told them that they are supporting some of the richest people in the country, and to look at themselves, how poorly dressed most were, cold, hungry. Why are they doing it? They all denied getting paid, and some even argued with him, saying that Yanukovych is a great leader, and will raise Ukraine from the ashes. Pathetic and sad. Very sad.
