This just Frosts me!!! I dont usually like to vent on Facebook...but this is the only way to get some attention .....why why why is it that programs keep getting cut but jobs in management dont!!! In fact they find every reason and sometime dont need any reason to implement a job just because...I have seen it happen WAY to many times...and now when I have my own mother who would benefit from having activities - Now I am speaking up!! Now they are cutting Tea Time every Wednesday at the Personal Care Home....first they resorted to not replacing Activity Workers!! As a manager once in the PCH - we had to incorporate a percentage of sick time into the budget when staffing!! Where has that gone if they are not replacing the workers when they are off - so now the residents have to suffer because of the system...Enough Already!!! It is now left up to the nurses and aides to try and occupy the residents - I DONT GET IT!!! Speak up people - if you dont have a parent or grandparent in the Long term care facilities..You still need to speak up....this is getting absolutely ridiculous...and to add insult to injury.. my mom pays a very large amount of rent as the formula used by the provincial health care system makes sure they get their share of her CPP and OAS....I dont dispute that...but NOW....the facility is charging her for her hygiene stuff...kleenex - mouth wash - toothpaste - soap - etc etc etc....REALLY!!!!!!
