This just in! Town Center Tree Lighting to be filmed by two movie studios Two of the best known production crews, Retro Studios and Aro Entertainment, will be filming the Simi Valley Town Center 10th annual tree lighting spectacular on Saturday, November 15th, from 4-9PM. The production will be used in upcoming Christmas movies. In the last three years, twenty-five movies and commercials have been filmed at the Town Center. These two studios have contributed to more movies being filmed at the town center than any other. “Movies filmed at the Simi Valley Town Center are more than just hobnobbing with stars,” noted Town Center General Manager Jeff DiJulius. “The city of Simi Valley receives income from filming permits and filming crews shop, dine and relax after and before shoots, and many of the contracts specify that our own town center restaurants have the right to the catering, therefore generating plenty of sales throughout.” There are still three more movies scheduled to begin filming this year. Some of the major stars that have filmed at the Town Center include: Shirley Jones, Paul Sorvino, Judd Nelson, Catherine Bell, Lou Ferrigno, Joe Flanigan, Robe Estes, Brooke Burke, Vern Troyer, Richard Karn, Sherry Stringfield, Robin Grossman; Shannen Doherty, Antonio Sabato, Sally Kirkland; Jim O’Heir, Paul Dooley; Denise Richards, Joely Fisher, Shamar Moore, Bill Bellemy, Nadine Velasquez and Rocsi.
