This last weekend I went to check this out - I encourage all of you too if in the western cape: The Sea Point promenade in Cape Town now sports its very own rhinoceros. It’s made up of a series of steel plates shaped as various parts of the animal. The multiple elements are arranged to look like a whole rhino when seen from one angle. It’s the work of Cape Town artist Andre Carl van der Merwe, who created it in an effort to shine the light on the reality of rhino poaching in the country.
