This little gal was likely dumped at the soccer fields in Del Valle. Many people tried to get her to come. She would take food out of a persons hand, but would not allow anyone to touch her, including me. The maintenance guy said she had been wandering around for 3 days. I borrowed a trap and went out several times. The final time a sheriff deputy and an animal control officer was on the scene. She had moved or been scared across Hwy. 71. The ACO did NOT have a trap on his truck. It absolutely BLOWS my mind a trap is not standard equipment on AC trucks. The Austin Shelter has collapsible traps, which take up minimal space. The two officers stood there with giant nets, which was ridiculous. I suggested they leave, so they didnt scared her back into the road. Me & a very nice guy, named Wayne from South Africa, trapped her. She fell asleep in the trap on the way to the overnight drop off vet. She is now at the Austin Shelter. She is about a year old Chug (Chi/Pug). She was just scared and she needs a nice person to adopt her or a rescue group to take her. PLEASE CONSIDER HER! Melissa Lane Ginger Soza
