This little gem said something which touched me last night. Having seen and been thru struggles with me, she has grown to be sensitive to my feelings. It was past midnight when she woke up and asked for a glass of milk. Before going back to sleep, she kissed me and as she hugged me tightly she said, Dont worry, ibu. Adik and kakak will take good care of you. We dont need a big house or too many toys. And if a kind man wants to marry you, we will be happy to have a new dad. But above all, having you with us everyday is enough. We love you, ibu. With that she gave me another tight hug and went back to sleep. My heart melted and I was speechless. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I didnt sleep but spent the whole night just watching the two of them in their peaceful slumber. I thought she is too young to be understanding and saying what she had just said. She got me thinking if Ive done enough for them all these while. Sometimes, I felt that I have failed as a mother but I try not to let that negative feeling bug me. With what I am doing and working on right now, I hope I will be a better mum, friend and person at the same time. I will not turn back the clock to change my past no matter how bad it is. Cos without my past, I would not have been a mother and at this moment, both of them are all that matters to me. I pray that I will be blessed with good health and strength to go through whatever obstacles that lay ahead and that I will always be surrounded with good vibes and lots of love from all those around me and that I will be able to provide and give my girls a better life and a better future.
