This little guy is a Dawrf Mongoose. I photographed him (or her) on a game drive in South Africa. Seeing the Big 5 was incredible. But just as amazing is seeing all the other animals that make up the ecosystem, and each is just an important as the other. Each one has an important role to play. I was so excited to this Mongoose, and even more excited to get a nice shot!! There truly is nothing like seeing these animals in their natural habitat-it was so emotional and overwhelming for me.
