This little owlet was brought to my sister Therese Jackson when she was living in Malawi. it was still egg shaped and barely more than a foetus but she managed to keep it warm and fed and eventually it grew into a handsome owl who lived in his own owl house in the garden and learned to catch his own mice and rats. While he was living in the house, my sister put the word out that she needed mice to feed it and was probably the only person who had a stock of frozen mice in her freezer! Kids turned up from far and wide with mice to exchange for money!
